How do you encourage enrollment when education costs are climbing faster than average earnings for college graduates with bachelor’s degrees? Shawnee State University has undertaken a multiyear project of implementing cloud services to improve the efficiency of the university’s back offices; to better identify prospective students and their best career pathways; and to track the academic and financial progress of current students to make sure they graduate on time.

“We’re much more outcome-driven and focused on student success,” says Shawnee State President Rick Kurtz. “Our mission, as we realigned it here, was basically to prepare today’s students to succeed in tomorrow’s world.”
